The Dublin Horse Show is the only CSIO5*show in Ireland. The five day show generally takes place in the month of August, attracting the leading riders in the world, watch videos of exciting young Irish bred horses that can reach the top echelons of the sport in both Showjumping and Eventing. Video from the 2019 Dublin Horse Show will be available shortly.

About Irish Sport TV

IrishSport.TV is a video based website serving the Irish Sport Horse industry. The site was launched in 2008 with our showjumping video archive now spanning over ten years. 

In our Sport Horse section the next event will be Horse Sport Ireland's Third Foal Qualifier at the Wexford Equestrian Centre on Tuesday the 27th of August 2019. The qualifier has four sections: Showjumping Foal, Eventing foal, Showjumping Pony Foal, and Eventing Pony Foal, with the top two in each category qualifying for the final in Cavan at the October Show.

The videos from this year's Dublin Horse Show are currently being uploaded.

Only two of the 14 combinations managed to make it through to the jump-off, victory went to Coen Williams and the runner-up spot went to Sarah fitzgerald.

Last of eight to go in the jump off, Denis Lynch, made no mistake to land the International 7 Year Old (Final), sponsored by LHK Insurance, aboard Cornets Iberic. The winning combination were almost 2 seconds ahead of Dermott Lennon and Athletix Hero Z.

Jason Foley & Dawsons Flex won the 6-Year-Old 'Cruising' National Championship, sponsored by Horse Sport Ireland, in the Main Ring on the final day of the 2019 Stennaline Dublin Horse Show, the bay gelding is by Flex a Bill, out of Carnalway Gold, by Kildalton Gold, and bred by Victor Bennett, Wicklow.
The runner-up spot went to Damien Griffin, riding, Kinmar Quality Hero, a gelding, by OBOS Quality 004, out of the Moujik de Sohan mare, Magician Hero, bred by Gerry Marron. Fastest in the jump was the Michael Pender ridden, HHS Vancouver, his time of 30.54 was quickest, but the four faults dropped the combination down to fourth place.

5yo 'Flexible' National Championship

Cathal Mcmunn & Jardy won the 5 Year Old 'Flexible' National Championship, in the Main Ring, on Sunday morning, the class, sponsored by Horse Sport Ireland. The winning mare is by Arezzo VDL, out of the Vigaro mare, Dark Lady, and was bred by JW Elburg.
The winning combination had one-tenth of a second to spare over Jason Foley and Rockwell RC, and stable companion, Dawsons Gold, ridden by Gerard O'Neill took third place. Jason Higgins and Creevyquinn Pearl, took fifth, but a pole at the penultimate fence cost them dearly as they had over a second in hand on Cathal McMunn

Jack Brennan took the final class in the Main Ring on day one of the Stennaline Dublin Horse Show with the hombred, MHS Central Park. Less than half a second behind was Olivia Roulston and Erico, with Hannah O'Shea taking third place on Ciao Bella.

The opening competition of the 2019 Dublin Horse Show was won by Jason Foley and Dawsons Flex, the 6yo gelding is by Flex A Bill, out of the Kildalton Gold mare, Carnalway Gold, bred by Victor Bennett, County Wicklow, and owned by KM Sport Horses, Enniscorthy, County Wexford.
Seventeen combinations of the thirty seven starters jumped clear in the first round to take on the jump off course; seven jumped double clear.
