The Dublin Horse Show is the only CSIO5*show in Ireland. The five day show generally takes place in the month of August, attracting the leading riders in the world, watch videos of exciting young Irish bred horses that can reach the top echelons of the sport in both Showjumping and Eventing. About Irish Sport TV

IrishSport.TV is a video based website serving the Irish Sport Horse industry. The site was launched in 2008 with our showjumping video archive now spanning over ten years. 

In our Sport Horse section the next event will be Horse Sport Ireland's Third Foal Qualifier at the Wexford Equestrian Centre on Thursday 5th of September 2019. The qualifier has four sections: Showjumping Foal, Eventing foal, Showjumping Pony Foal, and Eventing Pony Foal, with the top two in each category qualifying for the final in Cavan at the October Show.

Cavan's Elite Foal takes place on Thursday the 19th of September. The videos of this year's foals are now viewable on IrishSport.TV, you can view photographs, videos and pedigrees on the Cavan Equestrian website. The event will be streamed live, details to follow.

Mervue Leinster Summer Tour

Captain Geoff Curran & Dowth Hall won the final leg of the Mervue Leinster Summer Tour at Barnadown on Saturday afternoon, the 9yo Flex A Bill gelding is out of the Clover Hill mare, Ballinakill Clover. Paddy O'Donnell & Minority Report, took the runner-up slot, less than three-quarters of a second behind, the 17yo gelding is in fine form at the moment, fresh from a successful week in Milstreet. 
Eddie Moloney & Cruicerath Flexianna won the league and Patrick Hickey took the leading young rider prize for the tour.

New Heights Champions Series

Gerard O'Neill & Warrior's Glory came out on top in the final leg of the New Heights Champions Series at Barnadown. The 10yo gelding by Warrior, out of the Caretino Glory mare, Gucci's Glory, bred by Brendon Stud, and is owned by Sean Cubitt. The winning combination were the only partnership to leave all the poles standing in round 1, they picked up a solitary time fault, and last to go in round two, they turned in a faultless display to take the class.
Edward Doyle Jnr & Billy Guilder were also clear in round two, but they carried four faults from the opening round, leave them on four faults to take the runner-up spot.
Francis Connors & ERNE Ladygoldilocks took third place on 5 faults, and this gave the Waterford rider the National Championship, the winning 12yo mare is owned and bred by Hugh Fitzpatrick.

Only four of the fifty-six starters produced double clear rounds in the final leg of the National Grand Prix at Barnadown. Victory went to the Kevin Gallagher ridden, Bugatti X, the 9yo gelding, by Bugatti VDL, out of the Chin Chin mare, Abalia SMH, owned by Kerry McCahill.
Paul Carberry and Brandonview First Edition took the runner-up position, the gap was almost 2 seconds, but it certainly would have been closer but for Paul breaking a stirrup midway through the round. The 9yo gelding is by Douglas Cavalier, out of Brandonview Lady, by Balda Beau and bred by Seamus Drea in Kilkenny.
Gina Prescott's, Billy Guilder, ridden by Edward Doyle Jnr, took third place, and the final double clear round of the competition was Sophie Richards and Gradje O.
Liam O' Meara won the National Grand Prix League for the third consecutive time, aboard, the 15yo stallion Oldtown KC, by Cruising, out of Cloverfields mare, Oldtown Katie.
Eighteen combinations made it through to the jump-off, sixteen jumped, and two withdrew electing to rest their horses for tomorrow's New Heights Champions Series.

Only two of the 14 combinations managed to make it through to the jump-off, victory went to Coen Williams and the runner-up spot went to Sarah fitzgerald.

7yo International Final

Last of eight to go in the jump off, Denis Lynch, made no mistake to land the International 7 Year Old (Final), sponsored by LHK Insurance, aboard Cornets Iberic. The winning combination were almost 2 seconds ahead of Dermott Lennon and Athletix Hero Z.
